Alpha .89
Huge wall of details below. The tldr is the game now offers a few more options in how you want to play. The next big update will be a creep system rework and should add the much needed mid game portion. As always thanks for the interest and consider joining our discord. Link on the games page.
NEW
-all towers gain +1 armor every 3 levels (this will be adjusted at a later date)
-after wave 10 the wave timer soft resets a bit causing the early waves to come a bit quicker (wave 11-15 about 35% faster)
-tiles can now be scrolled in the deck select (middle mouse button) or clicking arrows
-when a tower is destroyed it now leaves behind junk in its location
-map now spawns with a bit of junk (view notes below)
Basic Tiles
Spells
Patch: Heals target towers hp and shield
Shatter: Reduce all creep damage by half for a time
Rebuild: Fully revive tower with mana but briefly cant shoot
Towers
Arcanist: When this tower kills creep it has a chance to search for secrets. if a secret is found a random secret arcane tile is created in hand secret arcane tiles - Misfire, Arcane_bolt, Arcane coin, Channel, Glyph
Arcanum: Creates a protective shield around all towers in range until its broken
Arcana: each time an arcane tile is played, chance to shoot an arcane bolt
Power shot: Bullets cause a knockback effect
Econ
- Next tower placed gains bonus hp and shield
- Target tower gains reduced break chance. can not be below zero
- Gain arcane bolt tiles in your hand (Arcane bolts deal 1+x damage and create 2+x random seeking bullets. X = total times an arcane tile has been played before shuffle Fury Tiles
Spells
Genesis: Revive tower to 1/3 hp, slowly regen hp and gain armor for a limited time
Heat up: All walls gain a brief damage over time effect
Junkyard: Creates junk randomly over the map
Fury Tiles
Towers
Magma Core: Can only be placed on walls, has a constant damaging aura around it. also ignites all nearby walls. Enchanting adds aoe to target Provoker: all creep must target this if possible. Deals damage when hit Enchant: adds thorns (damage when hit)
Torch: constant dps laser, Enchant: Sear, if target hp is over X deal bonus damage
Econ
- Junk: does nothing but is randomly placed on the map.
- target junk explodes into damaging shrapnel
- discard this tile and create 3 random junk
- clean junk and gain coins
- remove target junk and create flame bolts in hand. Flame bolts deal x damage to target. they do not dicard and create a stack in hand with charges.
- flame bolts count as arcane and deal damage to the creep + gain bonuses based on the total charges gained. Unlike Arcane charges these do Not reset when shuffling but are entirely consumed in 1 used. (atm im not super happy with the way firebolts are used as it feels clunky. This will changed soon) FIXED BB
Bug Fixes
-can no longer play more than 1 Mana blade at a time
-various text would change change font or size randomly
The purpose of this patch was to further push the specialization of basic and fury as well as some Qol improvements
- in deck select arcane book was showing a cost of 2 instead of 1
- clicking the break junk for firebolt tile was causing the shrap tile to be in the deck instead
- junk tile cost fixed in stack builder
- bonus Hp / shield tile fixed in custom builder
- cheat death tile also fixed in custom builder
- Fixed a bunch of issues involving the proceed button appearing before a full stack was built
- spelling issues on multiple tiles
- cost fixing on multiple tiles in custom stack
- magma core leveling up no longer causes crash
- provoker leveling up no longer causes crash
- thorns no longer cause negative health
- possible crash related to provoker taunt line
- somehow killing the second boss head before body parts would cause a crash, fail safe has been added
- Torch tower no longer shoots while...dead, not placed or nulled
- *possible fix for the confirm mark causing a crash(edited)
- Multiple tiles in the custom select screen now display the proper cost (Shrapnel, Mirror, Arcane glyph, Reduce break chance)
- possible fix for the creep crash bug
- arcane fire icon can no longer be viewed when you have none
- arcane fire text now is properly aligned
- provoke tower no longer rotates and has had its collision box reduced. This prevents path warping - thorn bullets no longer crash game when they cant find a target
- all walls with the magma core buff now kill creep instead of negative hp
- can no longer place towers or walls on junk
- ghost (green path) now takes junk into account when placing the path
- magma core aura, heat wave no longer damage 2nd boss body parts
- magma core no longer gives scorch buff while dea
Quality Of Life
- Changed where arcane fire bolt tiles are created
- torch damage reduced slightly (.075 - .07)
- torch ranged reduced by 10
- torch damage scaling reduced (.015 - .005)
- scaled back all effects of creep tiles gaining heat up. each heat adds 15% less speed
- creep hp scaling bonus gained from each tower placed has been reduced by 15% across the board
