alpha .7X Thoughts


Well good new is i managed to pull a solid 13 hrs programming sesh in and i got the creep to fight back, however this poses a huge new problem.

timing!

currently every creep shoots at the tower when its in range, this results in towers exploding in seconds lol, to combat... this, i think im going to put creep on random attack timers and some on delayed readiness to even start shooting.

this also means towers now need health, shield and potentially armor

Shield would be a slowly regening barrier, should absorb the brunt of most attacks

Armor is flat reduction to all attacks done to the towers health after the shield breaks

Health well we know what this does

Im debating if towers that are destroyed are just (disabled) and cant shoot until repaired or just being removed. Might even do a combination of both where they can still be targeted while disabled or even have a chance effect that causes the tower to be fully removed. AHHH the choices

but than if i do that for the towers...

i might as well do the same for creep and give them armor, shield etc. Which means a whole slew of new tiles come into play regarding heal effects, taunting, armor pierce, armor break, damage vs health bonus, shield removal and so much more, Doing this will give meaning to placing towers in the correct area. being effiecnt in breaking shield armor and health in the right order instead of just placing your fav tower up front. This also means it might finally be viable to make players maze creep.

while i evaluate what to do in terms of balance and cutting the next Big update may take another week or so depending. who knows maybe ill cram it all in, bugs and all in a day or two
